Rules of freedom of expression in the Western democracies. It allows us to criticize everything, including all religions. Political leaders can do no right; even in the best of times, they are openly criticized. In fact, freedom of expression has toxic, is destroying families, entertainment, and the lives of our children.
Freedom of expression on the Internet, radio and television is an insult to the intelligence. Media and networks feel can serve "junk" and you can see with a smile and a package of potato chips. In other words, they do not have respect for the morale of the masses. How many good movies are produced per year by Hollywood? How many would take your children? I hope that my point.
Respect is the real problem here, beyond "clash of cultures". In the West, many people do not respect their own religious values. Is it therefore that nobody does think the religious values of the Muslims will be treated different?
Respect for religious values is a problem. For "those of my American colleagues that he does not wish to participate in the oath of allegiance, or dislikes the words in God trust, please find another country that accept his lack of ethics and non-participation." You won't find a great line of countries you want.
We must learn to develop respect for different points of view and careful, when speaking of someone outside our own circle of family and friends. Regardless of where we live, we should stop dehumanization of other countries and cultures. It is so easy to point around the world and say is full of barbarians on the other side.
As an American, I am not satisfied when burning the American flag, the Danish flag or any other flag. When they stormed the Embassy of United States, it only brings with it an equal or more backlash from United States. This only helps fuel and reactionary, fundamentalists who still rancor, until this day, with each country that has never broke an Embassy.
Peaceful protest is a powerful tool for change. The non-violent protest will also get headlines. Historically it has worked around the world and you will get all the parties concerned to the negotiating table.
Constant unrest is also powerful, but they responded with a backlash and repression. Also like those who classify and categorize the cultures. In fact, has the ability to paint your own picture for how the responds to conflict. The way that you react to adversity is what people always remember the most.
Not commit acts un Prophesised in the name of God.
For a deeper understanding of his fellow man, open dialogue with people outside of their own culture. We need more communication at the micro level or the world powers will draw the sides for all of us.
