A few weeks, maybe months, I was watching a movie on the Navy SEALS at the history channel, public television or one of my other favorite click stops between the entries of the Detroit Tigers lose another heartbreaker. So my interest when I was goggling topics of the war of Iraq it was came when I came across Iraq in My Eyes: Memoirs of a SEAL of the Navy by Chuck Bravedy.
The book is the war in Iraq Bravedy perspective, what has gone wrong and gone right and where we should go to achieve a peaceful end to the occupation of long drawn-out of Iraq. Where we must go, says the author, is in the prisons of Iraq are filled with insurgents - a captive audience that we must indoctrinate rather than allowing them to establish there until that courts put them in freedom.
Bravedy presents a three point plan to put an end to the war in Iraq and achieve an honourable withdrawal, something that we could not achieve in Viet Nam. But I was more intrigued by his frank discussion of the political forces of Iran Radical Islamism and how United States is taking a soft approach glove, even an approach without human intervention, because Islam is a religion, as well as a political ideology.
We so screwed in United States due to the incessant demand that everyone be politically correct. And this driving force makes us lose important on the way home truths, as rightly noted by Bravedy. Communism and fascism are political ideologies which this country fought with success in recent years. Studies religious ideologies Christianity, Taoism, Buddhism, Confucio and are we tolerate rightly. But the Radical Islam is a political ideology, which Bravedy describes as clearly as a teaching force to hate and kill Americans--in Iraq, Afghanistan, or in the New York City subway.
We battle Radical Islam in the same way that we have the Nazis and Communists in the past. The fact that these terrorists are using their own twisted vision of their God to justify hatred, anger and death does not give them a free base. Bravedy asked why Korans are made available at Iraq prison cells run by Americans and why not infiltrating mosques in the Radical Islam where terrorist news and information is communicated. For this reason, I also ask. And why are we are failing badly in our occupation and efforts to retire peacefully? We got so bad because so managed to be politically correct. Three encourages Iraq in my eyes and Chuck Bravedy.
