Prayer to Ganesha: on religion and writer's block

For those who are unfamiliar with the Hindu gods, Ganesha is the God of elephant head of overcoming obstacles. It also happens to be the God Patron Saint of writers. Writer's block has apparently existed for quite some time.

Realize that a belief in multiple "gods" is considered sacrilegious by some. Christians and Muslims, for example, they are fairly strict on his belief in the one true God. But these arguments have arisen more semantic than from any underlying philosophical gap. Even if there is only one God, there are still many aspects of God: truth, justice, honor, integrity, trust, faith, joy and peace... Use of the word "God" to describe representations of the divine Hindu is actually a misrepresentation of Hindu beliefs.

Hindus believe that all reality is one. There is only one God because there is a whole. So I'm perfectly happy to call Ganesha the divine aspect of the Mighty faith - just one of many aspects of a true God - if we remain on the same page.

Here is a small prayer I wrote what I always offer to Ganesha am stuck in a writing project: "beloved and Mighty Ganesha..." I am stuck... Please help me... "Amen."

Well, if someone in the sky is going to accept a minimalist prayer, it is Ganesha. Bock of the writer is his thing. I am sure he understands.

If you know that I was born in New Jersey to parents of the Caucasus and that I'm currently writing this blog from the heart of the Bible belt, one might ask what I'm doing praying at a head of Hindu elephant Dios-barra - divine-point in the first place.

As well, I read a lot. Hinduism religion is largest in the world, after Christianity and Islam, with more followers 800,000,000. The Vedas, the Ramayana and the Mahabharata - including the Bhagavad Gita - available on Amazon.com. Read enough about Hinduism and you'll eventually run through Ganesha, also known as Ganesh or Ganapati.

If you're a writer, and discover a God to overcome writer's block, present that information, just in case. If you pray to God, and begin writing again, is what is known as conversion.

But in all seriousness I have not converted to Hinduism. Did not see the need. In fact, I refuse to belong to any religion, because after a while, those who want to "convert" begin to ask him to renounce all others. I am not giving Ganesha. But I am not giving Jesus either. Maria or Archangel Michael or Buddha or Kwan Yin to this matter.

I believe in the one true God, and that in its vast and beautiful religions. I guess that it makes me a monotheistic pan-religión.

If that sounds like a mouthful, could call me a follower of Buddhist Christian Hindu says of the Tao.

Not to mention Judaism or Islam because I did not even felt called to study much about them, but believe in Moses and Abraham and Muhammad was a true Prophet. I do not see what is all the fuss about refusing to "take sides".

I somehow can't see the great mastery of permanent land all around in the sky, discussing with others. As for me, are standing all together and shaking their heads in perplexity.

"They simply cannot obtain," tell each other. "What to do with this argument?" "That not what we were trying to do at all!"

The real problem is this underlying attitude so closely - keep this belief that one thing always has to be better than another. Why can we not accept the fact that everything has its place? "For everything there is a season and a time for every matter under heaven..." (Eclesiastés 3: 1). There is also a purpose for every matter under heaven also. And it is time that we did a small room in our minds - and in our hearts - for that idea.

So here is a prayer for the world tonight, another sentence that I wrote and offer up to the heavens in all seriousness:

"Wanted a true God"

in its innumerable divine aspects,

Please, help us all to walk on Earth

to learn how to love, honor and appreciate each other

without the barriers of fear

and without exception errors,

Have in their infinite wisdom

sent many of your children

"that we are taught to do on your behalf."

Amen.
