Hello, bin Laden!

I am partial on this issue.

On the outskirts of my lower Manhattan Office window is the notable hive of activity known as Ground Zero.

Truly, it is sacred ground.

And not only because of all the people who died there, there were heroic and ill there because they came to help. It is also holy land because each day and almost every hour of the day, they are rebuilding.

We we're rebuilding.

This is what make the biggest qualities of humanity what Lincoln called "the better angels of our nature". When we eat torn down, we arrived. When some so-and-sos full of hatred destroy our buildings, we rebuild.

Frankly, it was to rebuild the twin towers for precisely as they were on 9/10, with the exception of anti-aircraft roof and a large banner of Mickey saying "Hey, bin Laden!" while prominently displaying a certain single-digit salute.

But I'll be satisfied with the Memorial and adjacent structures.

As says, I am partial on this issue.

No, no. I do not mean the issue of the Islamic Center proposed a few blocks away. I have no problem with that. I can tell the difference between the peaceful practice of a civilized religion and a so-and-sos full of hatred extremist branch.

Protests against the Islamic Center, thus may go uptown and demonstrate for the closing of St. Patrick's popular because some individuals abused by the priest living in the vicinity.

LOL my bias involves a much more important problem. The war of Afghanistan.

As a healthy individual, I hate war. Also, as you know my friends and some acquaintances, I not shy away from saying that the wars of United States were unfair, stupid and horrible waste of blood and treasure.

But the Afghan war is just and necessary. And you don't have to be stupid.

The only comparable event in the history of United States to 9/11 is Pearl Harbor. We were attacked. We we were killed. Therefore, we went to war. And if we do not take the fight to the enemy and defeat them, will be attacked again. And again.

The conduct of war has often left much to be desired. Almost from the beginning, our effort in Afghanistan, spend time and treasure and blood in an effort much less justifiable ground to a halt.

But those who say that we should draw from Afghanistan because the war is strategy, Karzai's Government is corrupt or we should simply stay out of the Affairs of other Nations, are, at minimum, naive.

If leave before does the work, the Taliban will return to power, Al-Qaeda it will emerge from hiding and all bad exercise of a Government of rogue giving to so-and-sos full of hate the support they need to plan attacks aimed at our destruction will begin once again seriously.

Worst one which a suicide is a suicidal policy. Stay the course.
